- ➤ The City of Sparks invites Nevada artists to submit design concepts by March 1, 2026 for a mural celebrating America’s 250th birthday at the city-owned amphitheater; the selected artist or team will receive $17,000 + funds for time and materials. KTVN
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A nationwide settlement for diesel cars with hidden emissions software will pay $149.67 million, including $120 million immediately and up to $2,000 per vehicle fix. In Nevada, about 3,109 vehicles may qualify + changes in business practices are required. KTVN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After Monday’s winter storm, NDOT enforced chain controls on Mt Rose Highway from Sky Tavern to Incline Village and advised drivers to use headlights & drive slowly on icy roads. Authorities noted that conditions remain slick amid ongoing snowfall. KTVN
