- ➤ The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District suspended open pile burning on Dec. 20 due to high winds and said the suspension may remain until conditions improve. Residents must secure approved burn permits when the burn season runs from Nov. 3 to April 30 & check updates on designated burn days. KTVN
