- ➤ Preliminary totals for the 33rd annual Share Your Christmas event come from donation sites at Grand Sierra Resort, Carson Valley Inn, Nevada Governor's Mansion and Fernley-Raley's. Donations support local food banks and nonprofits including the Food Bank of Northern Nevada and Carson Valley Community Food Closet. KTVN
- ➤ A Sparks house used in a fire drill has launched a donation drive with boxes set up at local sites. At Grand Sierra Resort Casino and Carson Valley Inn Casino, donations will support local food banks while Nevada Governor's Mansion and Fernley Raleys serve community resource centers. KTVN
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ PBS Reno will air the documentary (Piconland: The Quest for the Perfect Picon Punch) on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m., exploring Nevada’s state drink through local craftsmanship and behind-the-scenes work at Ferino Distillery as TMCC professor Mark Maynard finalized the film to give students hands-on production experience. - ➤ An organ donor will be honored before the Wolf Pack basketball game today (recognizing his life-saving contribution). KTVN
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ The Bonanza Inn downtown will be demolished to allow for a larger construction project in Sparks. Officials say the planned demolition will pave the way for expanded redevelopment in the area. KTVN
