- ➤ Katie Histing, founder of Katie's Collective and childhood cancer advocate, passed away at Renown following a prayer vigil, after battling Ewing's Sarcoma since 2018. KTVN
- ➤ Sparks will experience street closures and lane restrictions on Thanksgiving Day from 7 a.m. to noon for the Turkey Trot event, affecting areas primarily along the Sparks Boulevard corridor. KTVN
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Reno man and woman received sentences of 80 and 48 years respectively for their roles in multiple residential burglaries in Washoe County between December 2022 and February 2023. KTVN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Multiple Washoe County and City of Sparks government offices, including libraries and the regional transportation commission, will be closed for the Thanksgiving and Family Day holidays with certain essential services remaining operational. KTVN
