➤ Over 100 Northern Nevada veterans will be honored on the Gold Star Tree at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa through the holiday season. The tree — inspired by a display at the Ronald Reagan Library — will remain lit outside Bistro Napa until January 3rd. KTVN

EDUCATION NEWS

➤ The Washoe County School District held a job fair on Saturday for open positions such as special education para-educators, English language assistants, interpreters, and certified teachers — and will host one final hiring event on December 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Debbie Smith CTE Academy in Reno for interested applicants who complete their applications ahead of time. KTVN
