The map will feature events like the Hidden Valley Parade of Lights running through Jan. 1 and contests in Cold Springs and Somersett on Dec. 14—offering neighbors a chance to join in the seasonal cheer. - ➤ Firefighters from station five are set to move into the finished station six after a ribbon cutting in Sparks + the department now readies itself to operate from the new building. KTVN
- ➤ During Crash Responder Safety Week, NDOT and first responders remind drivers to slow down and move over for roadside vehicles. Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said that following the law is key—46 responders died in crashes nationwide last year. KTVN
