- ➤ The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony hosted a gathering at Atlantis Casino on Oct 12—Native Americans celebrated their culture with traditional teachings and storytelling. KTVN
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Spanish Springs Library is hosting a reading event featuring therapy dogs from Paws 4 Love—a local non-profit that promotes literacy through pet therapy. KTVN
- ➤ The Washoe County Sheriff's Office will hold an e-bike safety assembly next Thursday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at Incline High School's Duffield Theater—deputies will explain helmet rules, licensing, and traffic safety for e-bike riders. FOX Reno
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Human Bean will host the Coffee for a Cure fundraiser this Friday, October 17 (5 a.m. to 8 p.m.) at all five locations in Reno and Sparks to support breast cancer screenings. All proceeds and tips will be donated to the Community Health Alliance to help provide screening and navigation services for uninsured and underinsured women in Northern Nevada. KTVN
