GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Truckee River Flood Management Authority met to discuss the Rock/McCarran Flood project. Keep Tahoe Blue announced that the pilot shuttle service will end this Sunday—ending the season. KTVN
- ➤ The city council is set to vote on an ordinance to regulate Accessory Dwelling Units on October 8th—this vote will set new rules for building these units. KTVN
- ➤ The Truckee River Flood Management Authority discussed plans for the Rock/McCarran Flood Project—plans that may add new community amenities pending further review. KTVN
- ➤ The Nevada Ethics Commission reached a settlement with Governor Lombardo over a yearslong case on his use of a sheriff's uniform and badge during his campaign. He was fined $5,000+ and his office later received ethics training, with the fine funding the State General Fund. KTVN
- ➤ Washoe County is asking for community feedback to improve its response to the opioid epidemic—residents are invited to share suggestions that will guide future efforts. KTVN
