- ➤ Northern Nevada Pride held its parade and festival in Midtown after hot weather and construction forced a change from Wingfield Park—organizers charged a $5 donation fee to keep the event safe and inclusive, with the parade starting at 10 a.m. on California Avenue and the festival at noon on South Virginia Street. - ➤ The Red Cross of Northern Nevada is giving families tips to prepare for emergencies (talking about where to meet, building a kit with three days of supplies, and learning CPR) during National Preparedness Month. KTVN

- ➤ A vehicle collision closed the northbound lanes of Sparks Boulevard at Los Altos today—Sparks Police and Fire departments are on the scene advising motorists to use alternate routes. News4
