🌲 Environment
Fire officials reported Thursday updates showed the Stallion Fire was 44 percent contained and the Bug Fire 31 percent contained in northern Nevada.
Rain helped firefighters slow the flames — evacuations and power outages remain in effect.
🏛️ Government
Reno-Stead Airport reopened at 5 p.m. Thursday for general aviation traffic while firefighting flights continue near the Bug and Stallion fires; the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority said its operations remain unaffected.
