ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Tonight a fatal crash on Military Road in Lemmon Valley killed a pedestrian and closed the intersection at Military Road—Convair Way as Reno Police and REMSA began investigating the scene. KTVN
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Sparks deputies arrested 32-year-old Stephan Sallaz after a standoff and booked him into Washoe County Detention Center—authorities warn gusty winds up to 50 mph and low humidity could spark fire growth in parts of western Nevada and the eastern Sierra. KTVN
- ➤ At just before 1:00 p.m. today, Washoe County deputies engaged in a standoff with a suspect in a Sparks house near Dorchester Drive — officials reported that SWAT and REMSA are on scene and a warrant has been issued for the suspect's arrest. KTVN
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, the Together As One event brings together people impacted by organ, eye and tissue donations while a red flag warning remains in effect from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. with gusty winds and a 10 to 15% chance of isolated lightning that could spark wildfires—residents are urged to avoid outdoor activities that may cause a spark. KTVN

- ➤ This morning, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) of Nevada held its annual Out of Darkness Walk at Sparks Marina. The event, marking its (10th anniversary), featured raffles, face painting, a sound bath and a bead ceremony where participants shared personal stories in honor of those lost to suicide. KTVN
