- ➤ The Walmart Heart Team honored local 8-year-old Sean Tracy, who has MECp2 duplication syndrome and is in clinical trials and therapy, at a ceremony on Saturday at Sparks Marina—Sean and his family were escorted by police from the Walmart Distribution Center in McCarren. This rare syndrome affects fewer than 500 boys worldwide and has no cure. KTVN
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A crash on Vista Blvd. and Los Altos Parkway at 2:30 a.m. caused a power outage affecting 53 customers and led officials to shut northbound Vista Blvd.—from Los Altos Parkway to Baring Blvd.—for a few hours. KTVN

- ➤ The Northern Nevada Jewish Film Festival was held May 17th at Galaxy Victorian Theatre in Sparks—organizers said the event offered insight into Jewish culture and history. KTVN
- ➤ Sons and Daughters of Erin hosted the Celtic Ceilidh on May 17 — the festival returned after being canceled during the pandemic. KTVN
