- ➤ Eddy House hosted the But First Dessert Gala Saturday night — a fundraiser that helped homeless and at-risk young adults in northern Nevada. The event took place on Apr. 25 and raised funds for local support services. KTVN

- ➤ As snow melts, black bears are waking up across the region, and local officials advise residents to secure their garbage & avoid leaving food outdoors for their safety. KTVN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ More than two dozen Nevada Army National Guard soldiers trained to fight wildland fires during a three-day exercise ending Saturday. The hands-on course taught them to build fire breaks and assess wind and terrain factors for better local emergency response. KTVN
