- ➤ AAA's weekly fuel report from Thursday, Apr. 16 showed that Nevada's average price for a gallon of regular gasoline dropped six cents to $4.95, even though prices remain higher than a month and a year ago (Las Vegas at $4.99 and Reno at $5.10). News4
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ An expert from UNR said that some WCSD schools do not let students face each other at lunch — a policy that could change how students interact in class. Reno Gazette-Journal
- ➤ Middle school teams from Eagle Valley and Carson competed in a Culinary Battle on Thursday at Carson Middle School as part of a year-long cooking challenge. Eagle Valley’s team won with a prime rib teriyaki bowl while students practiced teamwork and life skills. KTVN
- ➤ WCSD Superintendent Joe Ernst said that letting principals choose recess and lunch policies gives school leaders the flexibility needed in a large district — an approach aimed at improving student schedules. Reno Gazette-Journal

- ➤ The RTC of Washoe County is asking for public input on plans to improve safety & mobility along Rock Boulevard from North McCarran Boulevard to the Truckee River. Residents can share feedback online to help guide upgrades for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists and transit users. News4
- ➤ Roblox will pay over $12M to Nevada with $10M going toward child safety programs such as support for the Boys & Girls Club — the gaming platform will add age verification and nighttime notification limits for users under 16. It will also fund a law enforcement liaison position to address online safety concerns. News4
