- ➤ WCSD Superintendent Joe Ernst announced his retirement and said an internal candidate benefits the district. The board now plans to find a new leader to maintain the school system’s strong internal support. Reno Gazette-Journal

- ➤ The Fort Churchill Visitor Center remains closed following an earthquake while a freeze watch is in effect across the Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden Area from Thursday evening until Friday morning. Residents are advised to protect plants and water pipes by wrapping or draining them + letting them drip. KTVN
- ➤ A freeze watch is in effect today evening through Friday morning as forecast lows range from 26-30 in urban areas and 20-25 in rural areas—putting crops and outdoor plumbing at risk; residents should wrap plants or let water pipes drip slowly to prevent damage. KTVN
