- ➤ A man reported missing was rescued from the Black Rock Desert on Thursday after his side-by-side got stuck in the mud—volunteers hiked to him using medical gear and took him to an ambulance. KTVN
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ New data from the Nevada DOE showed that private school enrollment dipped 1.61% this academic year to 22,442 students, marking the first decline in four years. The report noted that Washoe County fell by 10.7%—and two Las Vegas private schools closed after the 2023-24 school year. Reno Gazette-Journal

- ➤ Sigal Chattah has been nominated by the Department of Justice to serve as Nevada’s interim U.S. Attorney. She lost her race for Attorney General last November to Aaron D. Ford. KTVN
- ➤ NDOT has advised drivers to be cautious on U.S. 395 southbound lanes as slight lane shifts for construction begin tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the North McCarran Boulevard work zone until late April — motorists are urged to follow lane and ramp closures and posted speed limits. FOX Reno
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The EPA released updated PFAS data that shows 667 water systems now exceed federal limits, with tests in Northern Nevada finding a well in Lemmon Valley measuring over three times the allowed level.
