  • A Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas had a laptop battery catch fire during deplaning after landing in Reno at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday—airport officials said the incident was minor with no injuries or delays.  KTVN

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Senator Catherine Cortez Masto toured the Community Health Alliance’s Wells Avenue center in Reno on Wednesday and criticized proposed Medicaid cuts that would slash 10% of its funding—500 local residents rely on vital services like pediatric and dental care daily. CHA officials warned that if these cuts are approved, tough staffing decisions would follow—potentially affecting support across six local sites and mobile units.  News4
