- ➤ Jake Reno spoke with participants at the Plumas Ski Club annual longboard races as they shared the event's history. A high wind warning is in effect until 11 PM PDT for Northern Washoe County and the Greater Reno-Carson City-Minden area—strong winds may knock down trees and power lines and residents should secure loose outdoor items. - ➤ Reno-Tahoe will see wintry weather with rain or snow each day this week and spring starting on Thursday, while a series of indoor concerts, plays, and sports events are planned from March 17 to March 24 (lanes on key routes will be reduced by roadwork through mid-2025). Reno Gazette-Journal
