Good morning, Sparks.

The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is building its first rural food hub in Elko to improve food access — funded by a $3 million grant from the Nevada Department of Agriculture — with renovations over 7,300 sqft expected to be complete later this year for Elko, White Pine, Eureka, and Lander counties.

Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada is reviving Operation Easter Basket—seeking donations of pre-filled or empty baskets, books, coloring books, toys, cellophane and money to support local families.

Contributions will aid the charity’s efforts in meeting community needs.
