GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Now that the holidays are over, local construction projects are set to resume in January (drivers may face delays as traffic picks up). KTVN
- ➤ Nevada holds over $1 billion in unclaimed funds from old bank accounts, insurance proceeds and more, which residents can check for free at nvup.gov. Treasurer Zach Conine said the website makes it easy for Nevadans to reclaim money they may have forgotten. Reno Gazette-Journal
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Drivers should review advice on winter safety before hitting the road. The online guidance offers steps for checking tires and assembling an emergency kit so motorists can handle icy conditions. KTVN
- ➤ Nevada Donor Network set record donation numbers in 2025 by facilitating 262 organ, 1,090 tissue, 1,586 cornea, and 2,957 birth tissue donations statewide, leading to 795 transplanted organs and restored sight for over 3,000 people. The nonprofit earned Tier 1A status and urged residents to register as donors. KTVN
